Presentation followed by reviewing of new products. Pro-Am contest with the Professionals.

A few of weeks back I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of the ultra rare Target Launch tickets. These are particularly difficult to obtain and cannot be bought, an invitation only affair. Not wanting miss an opportunity like this I felt compelled to attend to see all their new gear for this year. The new range will not be available to the public until early September.
As well as unveiling a whole range of new products Target invited the Team Target Pro's along! This of course would be a fantastic bonus to the event and one aspect I was particularly interested in. Being a Darts fan the possibility of meeting heroes such as Phil Taylor was too rare a chance to miss.
After we arrived we were seated at a table with a celebrity, ours was Stephen Bunting, he was a constant source of amusement the whole day.
Target Goody Bag!
These are becoming a bit of a legend in their own right. (Speaking to participants from last year). So as I was handed a posh looking boutique style bag by an ageing old crone I started to Salivate! What was within...

When it comes to free stuff I'm straight there normally and as is common with 'free' stuff it's never really any good.
Not so with this little bundle!, specifically, a brand new set of Darts (not yet available) worth probably somewhere in the region of £25-£30 (based on the current 8Zero Darts
What's New Then? (Highlights)
Elysian. The showcase of this years presentation is the widely whispered about Elysians. Billed as the "Limited Edition Darts of the Future" Target had successfully managed to keep these babies secret. Only 400 sets are being made, 200 are for steel tip and 200 are for soft tip. Orders are being taken. The price is going to be either £250 or £275 depending who you speak to which puts these Darts way out of reach for most. These are truely stunning Darts though! More details and a first look later.
Adrian Lewis Gen 3. Aidies new Gen set of arrows will be available in 21g, 23g and 25g (Steel tip) and 18g (soft tip). These were very nice to throw. Liked them a lot.
Phil Taylor Power 8Zero. Everyones free gift at the launch. These are truely fantastic Darts. Everyones feedback so far has been very positive. Available in 21g, 23g, 25g straight Barrel and 22g, 24g Scalloped Barrel. Also available as an 18g Soft Tip.
360 Vision Lighting system. This was one of my favourite things at the launch. Simple idea, simple design. A ring of 96 LED lights that sits just in front of the Dartboard. Genius. Works a treat.
Other stuff due for release included new Carrera and Carrera Cortex Dart designs. Phil Taylors personally designed flights the Vapor. Pixel Stems and some shirts and stuff like that.
The Celebrities

So overall it was a fantastic (free) day out. Met some fantastic people and got to try out some fantastic gear! Brilliant!.
