Extreme Landings Pro Review

Extraordinarily good Flight sim on Play Store!
How often would you hear that statement? Not much I wager. That's because Google Play Store is full of so-called Flight sims. Not really but trying hard to be flight sims. With the exception of the equally excellent Infinite Flight there is absolutely nothing of any substance on offer.
One Engine gone and chaos ensues

Being a fan of Flight Simulators (especially good quality Android offerings) I decided to download Extreme Landings Pro. Rather than taking the free version, I chose the full Pro package instead...

Price:  £7.99 for Pro. Free for the base game
Vendor: Google Playstore
Software House: Rortos
Gist of the Game: Missions designed to test pilot skills. Various emergency situations to survive from. Complete flight sim (free flight mode) fly anywhere in the world

If you are looking for a flight sim with a difference then here it is!
Forget the standard "flying about and that it" approach, here we see real life emergency situations thrown on you at random. Anything from Engine failure to Fuel leaks anything that can go wrong with a Jet will go wrong and you have to sort it out.

In this game you are expected to be the Pilot, Co-Pilot and Flight Engineer in one.  This sounds hectic on the face of it but actually not as complicated as it might sound.  After some practice with early tutorial missions you can easily remember the correct emergency procedures and deal with whatever gets thrown at you.

For variation we get a small but OK number of available aircraft including a boeing 787, Concorde, business Jet, Antonov Cargo and a vintage airliner. As I say plenty of Aircraft to choose from although not the extensive Hanger of such titles as Infinite Flight.
Ready to head off into the blue

The Sceanarios mode is fantastic and exciting. Adds an interesting element to an otherwise linear game. The graphics quality, frame rate and sound are very good with no lag or jitters seen whatsoever.

Breathtaking visuals are the norm here!

When it comes to brilliant and realistic Flight Sims then Infinite Flight is extremely hard to beat. Littered throughout the Play store are hundreds of poorly rendered, tatty piles of poo code masquerading as something like a flying game. Most fail miserably and get an immediate uninstall.  Infinite Flight is head and shoulders above everything else...... Well.... apart from this one perhaps.  What Infinite Flight lacks, Extreme Landings provides.
Namely real Satellite imagery on the landscape and real world weather patterns and changes. This makes a huge difference to the whole flying experience and makes these types of games a little less mundane.

The cockpit of the legendary Concorde!

Rating: 9/10
